What's on in March

HEY, you!

Welcome to the very first 'What's on in...' post! Each month, I'll be sharing a little insight into the things that are exciting me business-wise, from the constant mini-programs and events I can't help but keep creating, to new products, to the little (and big!) wins.

Without further ado, here's what's on in March!

International Women's Day + The Support Store

THIS I am so so so excited about! In honour of International Women's Day this month, I've been working on a little something that's going to start on April 8th and continue every subsequent month this year.

What is it?! It's going to be called The Support Store and it's going to feature a select few online female-founded product-based businesses. We have so many amazing women entrepreneurs out there, and their creativity and abilities deserve to be noticed.

I'm currently working on curating the best of the best, the ones with exciting products and the chutzpah to put it all out there. Stay tuned for their stories and for a little selection of their goodies you'll be able to purchase right here on our site, this is going to be super cool!

The Dinner Series

I've officially become a member at my favourite Toronto coworking spot, Make Lemonade! In the process, I've met some incredible female entrepreneurs (oh hey, Jessica!) and decided to officially get moving on an idea that's been brewing for a while now.

As I've learnt since being at Make Lemonade, magic happens when we connect and truly get to know each other and share our stories, complete with our successes and losses. The most beautiful part is seeing the ideas and collaborations that grow from these connections, and so... the idea is now going to be a real thing.

If you know me, you know I'm food obsessed (really an understatement, some would say) and I thought HEY, why not bring together my two favourite things and create a dinner series exclusively for female entrepreneurs to connect — not just meet each other, but truly connect in a heartfelt and vulnerability-inducing way. Sound scary? It's not, I promise — you'll see!

One of my favourite Toronto restaurants on Queen West (Rickshaw Bar... that mishkaki and chicken 685 though!) is female-owned, and the ideal fit for something like this. Going to go in and see what Chef Noureen Feerasta thinks about hosting something like this with me, wish me luck!

I'll be scouting a few other locations soon too, feel free to share your thoughts — all recommendations welcome! Plus, I always love hearing from you.

That's all for now, thanks for taking the time to read this. Appreciate you! ✌︎
